When we first met Steven Griffin, we were frustrated and disillusioned with the other architects and designers that we previously worked with. After two disasters with other companies and many, many months wasted, we were finally introduced to Steven. From our very first meeting, where we just discussed the basics of our two planned additions, Steven understood and was able to deliver a design that was beyond our dreams. We needed to add two new wings to our existing home. On one side of the house was an additional bedroom and ensuite, which included an attached exterior sauna and hot tub extending into a gazebo that was adjacent to our pool. On the other side of the house, we needed complete living quarters for me, which included a kitchen, bathroom, living room, bedroom, etc., above a 3-car garage. All of the above-mentioned had to flow with the existing house, with as little disruption to our growing family as possible. Stevens's attention to what features were important to us and a “must have“ list were thoughtfully integrated and designed. Steven also considered natural light exposure, outside views, and our own specific personalities in planning our living space. Needless to say, he went far, far beyond our expectations. Stevens's knowledge, open-mindedness, and attention to the smallest detail have finally fulfilled our dream. As my daughter and son-in-law would say this will be “our forever home “. We’re close to completing our additions and are so happy and excited to see how wonderfully it has come together.

We would highly recommend Steven because all of your challenges will not only be met but will be far exceeded.

From the first moment, I met Steve Griffin; I knew I would hire him (though I interviewed several other companies). He is open, honest, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Once I provided my requirements (mandatory and desirable) for an accessible Master bedroom with ensuite, he came up with concepts I would never have dreamed of, concepts that would avoid going to the committee of adjustment and options that not only met all requirements but did so at significantly lower cost and with minimal disruption to those living here. He has literally saved me tens of thousands of dollars by thinking outside the box and has been the critical enabler in making my house my dream home. I highly recommend Steve Griffin to anyone looking for an architect to design an addition or remodel your home. You will not be disappointed!
